One of the biggest handicaps for me is the lack of - or ability - to sort thumbnails via Aspect Ratio! Lightroom has it and I use it frequently. Secondly, ability to print montages easily, creating, specifying sizing, adding drop shadows to images etc. in the Print dialogue section. I could list a hundred deficiencies, but will anybody ever read these boards!

The coolest effect presets I had relied on a plugin called Mathbox. That plugin didn't survive the transition to ASP as far as I know.

No, that is not sufficient you will need the AfterShot SDK to generate plugins.

Most of the AS1 plugins still work in 32bit AS2, no idea what the holdup for making the 64bit versions properly available on the plugin sit is.

Now MathBox was always a bit obscure and the original developer no longer wanted to maintain it. As the source was freely available I made a specific version for a friend, but right now I have no time to set up a compile environment again for plugins (it is easy on Linux but a PITA for Windows...)

Ok, thanks for the info. I'm afraid this is not something I can do. It should be simple thing for the ASP developers though... I hope they will read the suggestions people make on these pages and work on that. I hate to switch constantly between three of four programs, just to get this or that done.

Thanks, AFX. I have requested the SDK, but I haven't compiled anything for a decade and my main concern is time (which I don't have a boatload of currently). For me, it will only be for Windows anyways. I will see if I can make it through with this...

Here is my wish list for Aftershot:
- Include the possibility to report bugs.
- It should be possible to save presets. At the moment i have a folder with different pictures to save the presets in the pictures. So I can copy the presets from the pictures.
- Full support of the Olympus OM-D E-M 10, including the possibility to use lens profiles with the OM-D E-M 10.
- More lens profiles or the ability to read the lens profiles from the rawfile.

I get it that ASP is for still, not movie, editing -- but couldn't it at least show the names of video files present in the current directory? Showing thumbnails would be even better. And now that virtually every still camera shoots videos, it's long overdue.

Support for my Canon Eos M2 Please - It's a brilliant camera and a perfect match for my Canon Eos 7D as I can use the same lenses but I'm a bit lost without Aftershot pro2.

I’ve been a long time PSP user (since v4 shareware under JASC) and short time ASP user (Oct 2014). Both programs have unique but complimentary features that beg to be jointly used as part of any workflow process. It would be awesome to see some integration between ASP and PSP begin to develop. My workflow usually involves moving files to a lossless compression (pspimage) and 48 bit color depth whenever possible before any editing is done. So my suggestions include:
1. Shared tagging data (like flags, labels, ratings, etc) since these fields exist in both programs. It would be really helpful to not have to maintain duplicate DAM setups and tagging.
2. Output formats like *.pspimage for export direct to PSP to avoid a separate format conversion. (and possibly PSD for PS users)
3. The ability to step JPG files up to 48 bit color depth would be great before applying any presets or plugins or exporting (to tif or pspimage).
4. Ability to import or use directly pspimage files (flattened of course either by ASP or by PSP). Having to move everything through tif files is just a lot of frustrating conversions.
5. It would be nice to better support DNG files as an import as well as export to benefit from this RAW like public standard. Adobe conversions from tiff (my scanner output) to DNG require another cash investment in adobe products. The basic conversion tools are free but they require a paid product to fully activate them.
6. As has been stated before, please rebuild the library of 32bit plugins into 64bit plugins. Without them, 64bit ASP is not fully capable and forcing the user community to dumb-down to the 32bit installation.

I would like to have the ability to set more than one External Editor on ASP. Currently I can only select one External Editor at a time, which makes my life difficult.
I use quite often 3 or 4 external editors to post-process a given image (ie Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex, Viveza or Topaz). Not having this ability really slows down my workflow a lot...

Is there any way to make this happen?

#1: Catalog Management
Could not find an option to Re-Link Master Files in the catalog. As it currently maintains links which are left broken if files are moved around manually as with organizing in Finder.

In LR5, one can simply redefine the path for a specific folder or photo and it automatically picks up the file(s) leaving in tact all the previous adjustments, keywords etc.

Thus, it has pushed me to using the File System to manage photos. There is also a bug where "New Folder" does not work in the File System tab on OS X. Even then, I can just create a new folder through finder, move around files as I wish and reload which leaves everything in tact from the sidecar XMP files. However, this level of organization isn't there with the catalog yet.

#2: Better OpenCL support and program stability as it seems to crash a lot when working with filters.

#3: Support for Adobe Generated DNG files and/or support for DNG files generated by Cameras (i.e. Lumia 1020).

#4: Lightroom 5 import tool. If Corel really wants to draw users away from other platforms, it needs to provide a means of retaining all the years of work done in other software (adjustments). This does seem very complex to implement but, at least ASP2 seems to pick up all the ratings, keywords and IPTC from XMPs generated by other software. Currently, I am leaving my LR catalog intact and just exporting fully edited files as .tif that ASP2 will read.
