Rushed out? Are you serious? Glaciers move with more "rush" than ASP.

And regardless of how long it takes, past experience suggests that it will be "horrible" anyway.

Maybe it's just a matter of perspective, but compared to the tools available when I started doing digital twelve years ago, what we have now is far from horrible. Imperfect? Absolutely. Good enough to get images out of the camera, made into something I'm happy with and off to the lab in a reasonable amount of time? You bet.

None of these products will go out and do all of the shooting I want to get done, and for that flaw alone, they all suck. :)

I would like to see something that will tell you what the output file size of image will be. Nothing more annoying than slowly dropping the percentage by 1% at a time to work out when the resultant image will be under a predetermined size.
I would also like to see them link the image output size boxes, so it automatically scales the image sizing instead of the rather non intuitive way it is currently done.
Finally one that is more pointed to Nik, but I would love to see Nik software being available for ASP, but it would have to include a Linux version.

ASP can already embed Nik software (I do it with Color Efex 4). It is simple, select it as your edit software. ASP will then create a 16 bit tiff and open it in Nik. OK, this is not like a non-destructive plugin, but come on, Nik adjustment is meant to be at the end of the workflow anyway.

For the tech side of it, just browse though Nik's folders, there is a standalone application that you need to point to (not in the plugin folders, in program folders).

The main bug I personally see at the moment is that it is not possible in any way to import Fuji RAF files, neither as DNG converted files nor as yet unsupported RAW files for the organization. Even in the new published beta there is no way of importing those files, and my folder with the unorganized RAWs is just waiting... ;)

Option to re-edit a TIFF or JEPG file. Obviously the non-destructive features of ASP is great and important, but since I use various NIK tools, every time I want to gdo an additional step, I have to create an additional output file (TIFF). In Lightroom, you have the option of editing the file you have or to create a new file to edit.

After a couple of weeks of using Aftershot Pro, here's a couple of features I really miss that are found in other Linux tools:

1. Local Contrast as implemented in Rawtherapee
2. RL Deconvolution Sharpening as implemented in Digikam and Rawtherapee

But overall Aftershot Pro is a very nice product.

I'd be happy with more frequent updates to support new camera raw formats (i.e. Canon G15)
