Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
A decent DB please.
With real search expressions.
With saved searches.
With virtual folders.
And scripting of course.
A native implementation of Local Contrast Enhancement.
A decent color correction tool like the one used in PWP.
cheers

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
First, hello everybody. I join from Bibble-Forums...
What i need, since early times of Bibble 5, is a reliable lens recognition. E.g. my Tokina 50-135 2.8 on EOS 50D is recognized as a EF 20-35 3.5-4.5 USM even at a 100mm f/3.2-Picture. On my older EOS 350D and 30D it is recognized correctly btw.
My Tamron 17-50 2.8 is recognized on 350D and 30D as Sigma 17-50 2.8 OS and on my 50D as Tamron 17-50 2.8, but as an uncalibrated sample. I have to manually set this to the calibrated version in the database. Quite annoying.
In the Bibble forums there was a workaround with modifying the lenstable-files. But this was rather tricky and didn't work well for me. So it would be great, if that could be fixed somehow...
And, of course dual monitor support, refer to original FILES in Catalog import, possiblity to import any media files into catalog (video, audio, pictures), support for all cams supported in Bibble 4 and 5, possibility to alter the processing tabs on the right (for instance, i don't need presets on the standard tab, but wavelet sharpen), several demosaicing choices...

PSP Plugin in Bibble which works in Linux
Really I would like to use PSP together with Bibble. There should be more Corel applications available on Linux!

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
A preset editor. At the moment we can view presets but if we want to modify one we have to apply it, make the adjustments, save it, delete the old one, and rename the new one.
Would be nice to increase the number of images in multi-image mode.
Tethering.

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
The ability to undock and move interface elements.
As Bibble5 I could move/undock/rearrange many menu elements. I chose to have them as a second menu bar below the main bar and organized to suit my workflow.
Now as ASP various menus are scattered and locked into all four corners of the interface, its nuts.
Filter/flag etc is ok in top left, but to adjust thumbnail size is bottom left, worse is that thumbnail view is top right and zoom lock is bottom right - who planned this layout, really?
Want more?
Layer manager is top right - region cursors is bottom left.
I select multiple images on the left side, but have to go bottom right to select multi-image view
The menus look much better though and present the same content is a much neater manner than previously
Looking forward to seeing how ASP progresses!

+1 on that one... with Organizing them as well per tab, maybe even rename the tabs!vieledinge wrote:I miss a complete Plugin Manager (Add/Remove/Activate/Deactivate/Sort/Online-Update).
Actually +1000 since it's something we all wanted in Bibble and with a few changes in 5.2.3 it looked like organizing the plugins where in the roadmap!

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
a cleanup of the user interface!
- less wasting of space
- more logical grouping of icons, better yet: customizable toolbars
- removing confusions, e.g. unactive color label is red (dark) not grey
- horizontal scrollbar in filesystem is at the end of the list and not at the end of the frame
- synchronized order of Flag / Reject / Clear Flag in the general UI and the Filter Panel
- dynamic resizing of panels in Library and Output, e.g. half the panel is unused but still i cannot see all my batchQs
then:
- Sharpening again without enhancing color noise
- allow zoom smaller than Fit-to-Screen
- introduce one-click solution to copy settings of any and every tool (button on each toolbar-header)
- a Color Correction tool that works (thanks to customToolsUI.txt i can ban it to the outer spaces of my tabs)
- relative (delta) adjustments for every tool, e.g. add 30 to Saturation, would be most useful in presets..
there's probably more, but those are the things that are getting into the way of efficient work most.
cheers,
grubernd

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
Worse, its not even choosing an OS - you MUST choose a version of windows. When you register as a new user, you *must* choose an OS - in practical terms of any windows flavour.
How long has Corel had Mac users or is this a windows only forum

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
As far as I am aware, all of the Corel programs on this website have been exclusively PC until now. It has only been since the unexpected (to us Site Admins -- Corel never gave us any warning
) launch of ASP that we have equally unexpectedly become PC, Mac and Linux. We are endeavouring to adjust the registration form, but will require a little more time to do so.

Also like to add faster camera support. Looking to buy a fujifilm x-pro 1 so hoping I can develop them in ASP!

Re: AfterShot Pro - Wishlist for future versions
- Better searching of the catalogs with something like regular expression capabilities, or at least AND, OR and NOT
- The ability to set individual keywords as 'not for export', e.g. if I have a keyword hierarchy setup I might not want the top level (e.g. 'subject') to be exported in my jpegs.
- Don't show me the whole path in the catalog structure!
- All the plugins from B5 and more!
- Free copy of PSP?
