I am trying to create a Blu-ray disk image in X4, but that option is grayed out. The video is 1440x1080 - shot on a Sony camera.
It will let me create the folders and will offer to burn a disc (but I don't have a blu-ray writer).
I am looking to create an ISO for two reasons:
1. To burn a disk from the image later when I do get a burner; and
2. To play through my WD Live (it plays ISOs)
I prefer the ISO to just the folders because it is is in just one neat file.
Any thoughts?
(ps tried to burn a BD image through Image Burn using the folders but that hasn't worked.)

First, you cannot prepare an ISO file for a Blu-Ray in Video Studio. No ifs, no buts...
However, you are wrong to think that the Folders option is somehow useless. First, a Blu-Ray folder is not greatly differentto an ISO file. Both contain all the necessary files and sub-folders required to burn an eventual Blu-Ray disc. A suite like Nero or Roxio, or even a freeware program like ImgBurn will certainly burn a Folder to disc, just as simply as you could burn an ISO file. (And I am surprised you say ImgBurn will not burn a Blu-Ray folder -- if you have a recent version, it certainly should... but this is not the forum for that...)
Second, many of us here prefer the Folder option precisely because just about any software Blu-Ray player will play it as directly as it will an actual Blu-Ray disc. Many, however, won't play an ISO file directly. It has to be first "mounted" on a virtual drive in order to play it. I would thus be surprised if WD Live could not play the folder, just as it can an ISO file.

Thanks for that. It has cleared up something for me. Pity.
The WD Live can play the folders - it is just a personal preference to have the one ISO file, instead of folders. I will look at other alternatives with the virtual burners if I still feel inclined to pursue the ISO route.
When I tried to create a blu-ray image from the folders (with ImgBurn) the PC would not recognise it. I mounted them with Virtual CloneDrive and normally VLC will play any ISO file but no luck. I will play around with the settings.
Pro X4 seems to be much better than X3 - especially having got rid of the DVD/Movie Factory which was littering my system with *.event files. I am trying to work out what the other packages give you (content and bonus) - It would be nice if there was a description, but the Corel website doesn't seem to really explain what they are. I will search this forum.
Thanks again for the clear-up.
