When will the patch be out? Something a little more specific than within a month please.

MF4 Patch
John,
I was asking the OP what patch they meant.
I did not think the reference was to the Error message fix, because Tobie said the following (notice, nothing was said about "within a month").
Please, give the OP a chance to reply -- perhaps it was this patch they meant, or maybe they had heard of another patch for some other problem (I don't know, that is why I asked).
Also notice that this was the OP's first post. So I was curious what patch they were looking for...

OK GREAT! Thank you very much everyone - we are able to duplicate it here, and I already tried a fix supplied by the engineers. As soon as we have verified the fix, I will post it here - hopefully by tomorrow.

OK just to clarify:
I did previously say (I think on a different thread) that the official DMF4 patch will be out "within a month". I cannot say more accurately, since the engineers are working on it and don't want to commit to an exact date yet. However, seeing as it's been about a week since they told me that, I guess we can now say "within two to three weeks"
The files that I sent out for the "you dead" and "burner in use" problems are interim fixes, not fully tested, but will be so tested and included in the patch.
Regards
Tobie

Just trying to help YOU!
If you had taken the trouble to have a look at the link which I provided you would have seen the following, which was obviously what Randy was referring to.

If you don't like my contributions, please just ignore them.As soon as we have identified it, we will make it a priority to release a patch or binary file to fix it, and I will announce such a fixe here in the forum. We are also working on a patch that will address many of the issues mentioned here, it should be released within a month.
John,
I agree that the "within a month" was posted in your link. And Tobie also set me straight with his follow up.
I am glad you felt you needed to set me straight as well.
I don't want to ignore your posts, because that's how we all learn.
I was asking the OP for a little more detail just to make sure everyone was on the same page.
btw, there is at least one other post about a burning issue that mentioned "within a month" -- so again, I was asking the OP what patch they needed (trying to find out what was the issue on their system).

I have several issues with MF4 (I also installed the latest update)
When I launch MF4 I get the "! Key Error"
When I click OK the software continues but when I try to open any video file to create a DVD I get an error saying no video data was found.
Pretty much unusable for me as it is.
I also notice that my DVD burner doesn't have the "Erase This DVD option anymore. That might have had something to do with the DLA problems. One of which kept saying insert a DVD etc...
Tobias has responded to my support call and I have sent him screen shots of my errors.
I guess I'll just have to 2 or 3 weeks for the fixes.
If I was smart I should have tried the trial version instead of spending my $85.00 for a product that is unsable for me right now.
But I'm gonna be a good customer and trust that all will be fixed in this patch.

Thanks to Tobias who I believe has helped me solve my problem.
My initial setup was MF3 SE on XP Home
I then bought the MF4 Disc Creator Upgrade and ran the upgrade.
I then downloaded and installed the 4.01 Patch which supports DL Burning.
Nothing would run and I had errors all over the place.
Tobias researched it for me and I did a clean install using the MF3 SE CD to verify my registered version and all went well. I tested it before the 4.01 patch and it worked perfectly.
Tonight I will test the 4.01 patched version.
Thank you Ulead and especially Tobias for all his kind help!
