With Sound but No Video... Unsuccessful rendering

Hi i had followed the Step by Step Recommended Procedure.

And I did as what was written create video file before burning.

I tried creating the Video File but it's not successful.
There is sound... but no video, all i can see are lines and squares from RED(Top) color to BLUE(Bottom) color.

I was trying to convert a Dvix Avi into a mpeg file
with quality 100%, vibrate 4500 kps, LCM Audio, 25 frame/sec and PAL format,
I am not very sure whether all these informations are relevant enough, but hope someone can help me out. Thanks.

I've had the same problem before with some projects. The red lines indicate rendering, aka the edits you have done mean the video can not be played as is and the program needs to render. The task may be too much for your system. DivX files are highly compressed and take a lot of power to process in real time. You may want to try converting the file first to a less compressed format like DV. Or do it like we did back in the old days by rendering the project as a video file.
