VS X3 Error - "Cannot start the capture graph"
I have the VS X3 version and am trying to capture a VHS tape to VS. I'm using the ION "Video 2 PC" capture card and I have hooked up the 3 RCA cables (red, white and yellow) to the capture card and then via a USB port attached the capture card to the computer. The USB device is recognized in Source by VS X3 and is called "USB 2861". The Format automatically is automatically set to "DVD". The capture video icon is blinking and when I click it to capture, I get the error message "cannot start the capture graph". I can't go any further from this point. Any ideas on what I should do or check or what this error message means?

Re: VS X3 Error - "Cannot start the capture graph"
Hi
Welcome to the forums
I know there was some issues with VS 3 and capture, whether this was related to USB capture I do not know, Others users may expand on this.........
Capture Tab
Source to DVD
Select / allocate a capture folder
There is an Options Cogwheel that allows you to set the “video properties”.
Select the correct Input Source as Composite and the TV system, Pal or Ntsc
Audio to USB
Then choose the Template Tab
Make sure the VHS video is running and the preview showing the video, then press capture.
-----------------------------------
If you still have problems the device should have been bundled with a Video Converter that will allow capture. I did a search and found some reference to EZ Video Converter software.
