Straight to Disc - Extended explanation

Hello

After reading the 2 pages of the manual on this option, I follow without understanding the difference with a process of normal capture.

Although I believe that the objective is that it captures the time that it captures, tries it to put in a single DVD? but if you have selected a quality that is high serious impossible, somebody can clarify the use to me of this option. I what I want it is to happen of VHS to DVD in a single step and with a decent quality, this is the appropriate option?
