Tool bars and palettes
Okay, I am desperate. I use a wacom Bamboo graphic tablet in PSP X4 and I'm having a very annoying problem. If I happen to have the pen to close to the tablet when I'm over the tool bars and then go to click on something or move over my image, I take the tool bars for a ride. I spend more time putting tool bars back into place then I do using the actual program. Can I lock the tool bars into place some how? I don't remember them being so easy to move in X3. This only seems to happen in PSP X4 and no other programs and my pen is set so it won't be so sensitive (cause that was my FIRST solution). HELP! Its so annoying, I am contemplating ditching X4 altogether, while it may be faster than X3, the tool bar thing makes it time take three times as long to complete a project.

Re: Tool bars and palettes
Locking palettes into position, docked where you want them (eg left or right side of window) and having control of tabbing should be a pretty high priority: more than a wishlist item!
Taking away basic workspace layout options is bad. Breaking things with new features (tabs) is a bug.
I was OK with X4 with the new light grey theme, until I accidently moved my palettes, and spent the past 25 minutes unsuccessfully trying to get them back where they were.
I want 3 palettes displayed/docked, not tabbed, stacked vertically on one side.
But I can't seem to get them back there: I float all 3, dock one which takes up the full height of the window. When I dock the second palette it splits the first vertically instead of stacking it, and when I dock the 3rd palette it always gets tabbed with one of the docked palettes.
HELPFUL hints WELCOME!
Thanks

Re: Tool bars and palettes
I personally think the new method of docking is far easier than the original way. It's being adopted by a few different applications these days.
When you hover a palette over another palette a HUD (heads up display) should appear giving you five options.
1)Dock above current palette (stacking)
2)Dock to the right of the current palette (split)
3)Dock below current palette (Stacking)
4)Dock to the left of the current palette (split)
5)Tab the palettes (something that has been asked for by others)
Just hover over this display to set the location of the new palette.
EDIT: Quick video from my work computer (It's all I have) so the quality is horrible.

Re: Tool bars and palettes
THANK YOU! That was a most helpful reply!
Have to wonder why I did not find anything about this in HELP when I searched on docking palettes, & other related search attempts. It took me only a few seconds to figure out the HUD bit once you clued me in to what those arrows were actually, and the the key action of "hover over"!
Was I just supposed to know this by buying using other new software? Darn, I am just a cheap fuddy duddy: I haven't needed any new software recently...
Thanks again!

Re: Tool bars and palettes
Glad to see it wasn't just me. I still have it happen, but not quite as much... I have mine docked, but it seems that I manage to slide my pen just perfectly overly the toolbar or palette to pick up and move it out of place.
