Menu title alignment not working
When creating a menu with VS pro x4 the text alignment option for the menu title is greyed out. Anyone know why this happens?

Hi
Not sure what you mean by “text alignment”
Do you mean the “T Font Settings” icon under the Edit Tab.
Click the text on the preview screen to select, the Font option should now be available

I assume you mean the DVD menu itself - for the Alignment there to work you need to have more than one text block or picture selected (by holding down Ctrl as you left click on them) you will then have the option on right click to align those objects - there is no option to align a single item - you do that manually by just sliding the block around

Re: Menu title alignment not working
Hi
Thanks for the replies. What I mean is on the DVD menu. If I create a multiline title like:
Kate Bush
The Whole Story
I want to Centre this so that it reads:
****Kate Bush
The Whole Story
but without the asterisks.
I tried this by selecting the title and then right clicking, but the align option is greyed out. This used to work, but I fear some win 7 update has stopped it functioning.

Re: Menu title alignment not working
Leading spaces just get removed. Looks like it's not possible to align text within a box.

Re: Menu title alignment not working
putting spaces doesn't seem to work Trevor - as soon as you click out of the text box all the spaces are removed and the text reverts to it's original formatting.
what I have discovered though is that the title alignment is different on different templates - in some the text is left aligned, in some it is centre aligned and in some it is right aligned. So what I would do vasco is select one of the Thumbnail menu template where the title text is in the centre (because they seem to be the ones that are centre aligned) then you can do your text as you like - then I would make a jpeg (possible a scene from the video) and insert that as the background to the menu thus replacing whatever was there first.

Re: Menu title alignment not working
Thanks very much. I will do as you suggest. Would be a useful feature though, don't you think?

Definitely yes - can't think why the programmers left it out - something for our 'Wish List' perhaps.

Shall I add it to wish list?
