When cross fading video, sound doesn't fade in properly

Post by mdekker »

Hi,

Using VideoStudio X4 Ultimate 14.2.0.23 I have the following issue:

When doing a crossfade between video clips, the audio crossfades just fine in the preview of the edit screen in X4. However, after exporting to DVD 14:9 format, in the resulting MPG video the audio of the first clip correctly fades out, while the audio of the second clip doesn't fade in... it just jumps in.

Any advise is welcome.

Can you provide the video properties by right-clicking on the videos in the timeline and select PROPERTIES. This will other people more information on the type of files you are working on.

Sorry, should have thought of that before :!: they are HD (not full HD) MP4 files taken by a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W350. Properties show:

Video:
MPEG-4 ACE video
24 bits, 1280 x 720
29.997 frames/sec
9000 Kbps

Audio:
MPEG AAC Audio
888.832 samples
24000 Hz, 16 bit, Mono
64Kbps

Come to think of it, I don't see this behavior when using Full HD AVCHD files from my Sony HDR-CX105.

Tnx!
