I'm a brand new PSPX4 user. The first job I want to do is work on a series of pictures taken on successive days, and then print them out four to a page to show a consultant. I don't appear to be able to do anything so simple and am astounded.

Re: Print four to a page ??
There are two easy ways to approach this.
1) Create a new image the size of a piece of paper. Then copy and paste each image as its own layer and arrange them manually on this page. Then print it off.
2) Use print templates. Under the File menu find the Print layout option. This allows you to use any open image and arrange it on a piece of paper. By then selecting to load a print template you can use a preset arrangement to arrange your four images.
Now on top of that the organizer has an option to select multiple images and print a contact sheet. Though I never use it so I don't know exactly how it works.
Otherwise Windows Vista and 7 offer printing options that also make this easy.
Either way, even with all Paintshop Pro can do, editing is still its strongest suit.

If I understand correctly, here's what you can do: Click the File menu and then Print a composition. In the new window that appears, drag the images to the left column of the sheet of paper. Then arrange and adjust the sizes of the images appropriately.

Re: Print four to a page ??
I would go with LeviFiction's choice #2. Depending on your paper size, the size of the images, orientation, etc., there are several options you can use within the Print Layout screen.
- In the main Edit window, open all four of the images you want to appear on the same page
- File > Print Layout...
- Drag each of the four images from the left portion of the screen onto the print template on the main part of the window (position and size are not important)
- At the top of the screen, click the Auto Arrange button (a little to the left of the center of the row of buttons)
- Between Steps 2 and 3 above, do File > Open Template.... Pick a template such as Avery 3256 (white space between images) or Avery 3266 (images directly adjoined). If you want landscape orientation, select that option now in File > Print Setup.... Then, in Step 3, drag the images into the four cells in the template. Skip Step 4.
- Instead of using one of the predefined templates, create your own. After Step 2, click the New Template button (left-most button on the toolbar). Drag the images to the template, as in Step 3, but manually resize and/or position the images as desired. The Show Grid and Snap to Grid buttons may be useful in aligning the images on the page. Skip Step 4.

Try looking through tutorials first so that you have a better understanding of the interface of the program. Not only will you be able to familiarize yourself and improve your skill on using the software, it is also entirely possible that you can come up with the answer to your question on your own.
