Register PSPX2 again?
Yesterday I had to reinstall X2 because the custom color swatches had become corrupted. They had all disappeared and I couldn't create new ones even though all of the script files were still in the PSP folder and any new ones I attempted to add were in there too. Anyway, reinstalling it solved the problem but now I'm being asked to register the program again. I checked on the Corel site and it shows my copy as being registered and the serial number matches what I have written down. I have the DVD version so no activation is needed or anything like that. Do I have to register again or is there some way to let X2 know that I have already registered? I don't see anything like that under the Help menu. I clicked the option to have it remind me in 30 days because I wasn't sure what to do.

Re: Register PSPX2 again?
I don't think re-registering does any harm. FWIW, although I don't have X2, I have re-registered X4 3 times already -- and got the KPT download link each time! At least it gets around the 'remind me later' thing. I have also re-registered a variety of other Corel products, including Video Studio and Draw, several times over the years, again with no deleterious effects.

Re: Register PSPX2 again?
Thanks, Ken. I guess I'll have to wait 30 days to do it though. There is no option to register it under the Help menu.

Re: Register PSPX2 again?
Apparently you can't register PSPX2 more than once. I logged into my account on the Corel site and tried to do it manually and got this message:
Now I'm wondering what will happen after 30 days when the nag notice pops up again. Will I still be able to use X2 if I can't register it again? It's not a trial version so I don't see how it could time out. There is a problem with your registration request. The serial number may not be properly entered or may already be registered against your account. Please review your request again.

Even I don't know why you need to re-register the program when you perform a complete reinstallation but like what Ken mention... there's no problem in registering the program again.LindaSue wrote:Apparently you can't register PSPX2 more than once. If you select the reminder for 30 days... you will get the same registration pop up. so registering is the best action that you can do.

Re: Register PSPX2 again?
They should have given an option for "Already registered" instead of just giving options for a reminder in so many days.
