Since a couple of days my PSPX2 installation is automatically creating a new folder "My Corel Shows" in my directory
D:\work
at startup.
How can I disable the auto-creation of this folder or move the folder permanently to another location e.g. "D:\gra\PSP12\My Corel Show"?

Re: Disable folder auto-creation "My Corel Shows"?
I just want to revert to my old post.
Can I at least tell PSPS X2 where (in which user defined folder) it should auto-create this directory if it does not exist?
E.g. as a subfolder of the installation directory.

Cut and Paste the folder to the desired location, or simply delete it. Not necessary unless you have projects created with MediaOne, and if you use MediaOne it will re-create the folder I think. Under the File Menu is a selection to Launch Corel Media One, which if installed, uses the My Corel Shows folder if you create a slideshow.

Hmm, this is NOT a solution.rondo wrote:Cut and Paste the folder to the desired location, or simply delete it.
When I move or delete the folder then PSP AUTOMATICALLY re-creates it the next time I start it.
I want to get rid of or move it forever.
So again: How can I achieve this?

Re: Disable folder auto-creation "My Corel Shows"?
From doing a google search, My Corel Shows seems to be a save folder for Corel Photo Album a slide show presentation preparation software which I think was installed with earlier versions of Corel PSP.
Do you run that program? If so then it is a part of that. Otherwise check if it is there and uninstall it, delete My Corel Shos and it should stay gone.
Ihave just deleted it, then run both X2 and X3 and it has not reappeared.

Re: Disable folder auto-creation "My Corel Shows"?
Well, I gave you a suggestion to try, sorry it didn't work. On my computer, the folder is there and I just ignore it. Some other programs do the same with folder creation. I know it's easy to get obsessive about not being able to delete or move certain folders, especially when doing good housekeeping on your system.
Since the folder gets re-created when you run X2, you could try deleting the CoreSlideshow.dll file in the program installation folder- don't know if it will work or not.

Mine has stayed deleted.
I checked msconfig and found that I had disabled two programs in Startup - CorelIOMonitor and Corel Photo Downloader so not sure if either of those help.
You could also check Task Manager and see if any instance of Corel is running when you have not started PSP.
