Drawing Straight Lines

Post by T Zipper »

About 10-12 years ago, I had a simple version of Corel Draw or some similar name. Then I got involved with Adobe products. But it is nearly impossible to draw simple straight lines with Adobe! :( The Corel program I used to have enabled a straight line to be drawn by clicking on one spot, then holding some button down (don't remember which) and clicking on another spot. Viola! :D
So my question is: "Is it simple to draw straight lines in Paint Shop Pro? If not, what program do I need to purchase.

You're thinking of the "Shift" key in the case of PaintShop Pro. Click once, hold the "Shift" key and click again to draw a straight line with the paint-brush. (Photoshop can do this as well)

With Vectors you also hold Shift to restrict the angle to some degree. I can't remember if it's 15 or 45 degrees but it does allow you to restrict the nodes to straight across from each other.

...And with the pen tool, you click Shift once (and hold) to establish a node. Keep holding down the Shift key, then move to the point where you want the straight line to end. Click once again and a straight line should appear between the nodes.
