Saving DVD menus, chapter info, etc. (VS9, create disk)

Post by ABe »

I recently bought VS9 to go on my new 3.0 ghz P4 HT system. A couple of years ago I did a few DVDs with VS6 from my Sony D8 camera, so I have some minimal experience.

In creating DVDs from my final edited project, I go thru and create the various menus, add chapters, text, music, etc, and burn a DVD. So far, this is all good (no OOS yet...). I save the project and exit.

When I come back and make a small change in the project, all the chapter settings, etc. are gone. In reading thru previous posts, I understand this to be "normal". Is there any way to save this info in an external file? Or, anyone know where this info can be extracted in "readable" form from the project file, etc.? The other option would be to write it all down on paper or a text file and redo it every time I tweek the "final" version.

Thanks.

Close the DVD authoring window. Then save the project. This should save your DVD menus in the .vsp.

It does. The only thing this doesn't save are the DVD project settings (bitrate, audio selection etc.)
