I am trying to create a blu-ray disk of my daughters’ dance recital. In DVDMF7 I add 5 .MTS video files with the properties:
MPEG files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
(HDMV-NTSC), 16:9
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 35000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48000 Hz, Stereo
I join them together, add chapters and create menus.
I have the project settings set to Blu-ray Standard:
MPEG files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
(HDMV-NTSC), 16:9
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 35000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48000 Hz, Stereo
Field type: Lower field first (DV)
Do not convert compliant MPEG files: Checked
Support X-Disc: Not checked
Two-pass conversion: Not checked
In the final step, I only have Create-Blu-ray folders checked.
I get .m2ts files created on the hard drive with excellent video, but they never have sound.
I am very new to this. Are the settings correct?
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for any assistance.

It should work with LPCM audio which is rock standard. But you might want to try it using Dolby instead.

Re: DVD Moviefactory 7 No Audio on Blu-Ray
Ken,
I switched to Dolby output, and there was sound on the blu-ray files.
Being an engineer, I want to know why it did not work. Could it be that the video was filmed in 5.1 sound and it can’t convert to LPCM?
Corel support suggest that I uninstall, again, and reinstall with all unnecessary background services stopped, which I am going to try.
Thank you

Re: DVD Moviefactory 7 No Audio on Blu-Ray
I am not a technician, so I simply don't know the answer. However, I *do* recall that commercially produced Blu-Ray discs mandatorially have several audio tracks on them, to cover all bases. One of them is Linear PCM (LPCM). In other words, Blu-Ray players are made to be able to read LPCM, so I am not sure why your disc has no sound...
