Opening User Guide/Eliminating Noise

Post by Randyflycaster »

I'm new to PSP. How do I open the user guide? I click on the icon in the upper right, a diologue box opens, but I can't open the guide.

I'm looking for some sort of video about how to eliminate digital noise. The instructions in the help are greek to me.

Thanks,

Randy

Can you tell us exactly what happens when you click on the Corel Guide icon? Are you getting any error message?

As for tutorial, you can find lots of written and video tutorials on PSP at http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index.jsp?pgid=1400065

The so-called Corel Guide is not really a guide in the sense of user guide giving information on how to use different parts of the software. More of a message centre, e.g. about updates.

I assume that you have PSP X4? If so to get help, click on Help menu/help topics. If you are connected to the internet that will open your browser at a page where you can either search for help on a specific topic or download a real user guide (pdf) that unfortunately is not accessed from within PSP, but you can save to your hard drive and open separately. It also gives a link to some videos, though I did not see one directly about noise reduction.

If you are not connected, clicking help topics will also open the help from a copy on your drive ( at C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X4\Languages\EN\Help), but of course then although you could search the help, you could not download the user guide pdf.

The help page describing noise reduction is
