I have both PSPX3 and PSPX4 installed. When I use PSPX3 it sometimes happens
that the program can't read a pic saved by PSPX4 although they are saved in.jpg
format. Any way to fix this problem for all my Photos at the same time?

Can you double check if they are indeed save as .jpg? Because I can open any jpeg images I saved on PSP X4 using PSP X3. If they are saved as PSPIMAGE, then you may want to save the image to be backward compatible with older version of PSP.
When you are on the SAVE AS screen, click on OPTIONS on the lower-right corner of the screen then on the VERSION SAVE AS.. select the old version of PSP that you are using (you can save as old as PSP 5).

Re: pics doesn't match
it's inconceivable to me that a jpeg saved in X4 could not be opened in X3.

I could not reproduce this problem with .jpg files, after trying several variations of encoding, compression, etc., between PSP X4 and PSP X3.
If the answer to the first question is No and the answer to the second question is Yes, then you may be encountering a situation where the USB drive is not finished writing the file, even though the save appears to have finished. There is often a time lag. If this is the case, it might occur more frequently with the most recent file written to the USB drive before it was removed. You can prevent this by using the tool in the system tray to be sure it is safe to remove the USB device.
If this is not the situation, then you should be able to open the original picture file and save it again, hopefully with better results. If you don't have the original picture, then now might be a good time to start the practice of working on only a copy of the picture, leaving the original untouched. That way, if something (such as this problem) happens, you can always go back to the original and start over, though you may lose a lot of time and effort. Also, you may later want to do something different with another copy of the picture, and having the original would make such a thing possible. Just food for thought.
The fact that you said "sometimes" makes me wonder a couple of things. First, when you encounter a picture saved by PSP X4 that you cannot read in X3, can you subsequently open the file in X4 again? Second, are you saving these files to removable media, such as a USB drive?newbe64 wrote:When I use PSPX3 it sometimes happens that the program can't read a pic saved by PSPX4...

Re: pics doesn't match
Thank's for Your reply,
I think the problem was as You suggested, that I use an USB device to save pics, and I was to Quick to close recent work. That also explains why just some and not all photos had the same problem.
So I have just have to resave inPSPx4.
