Downloaded SP1 and SP2 and ran setup. Message come back as "The installed version of the application can not be determined. The setup is now terminated".
I upgraded from X2 to X4 using the box version and registered successfully.
Please advise.

Can you tell us what is the build number of your VS X4? Because if your VS x4 is already updated then you may get similar mesage when installing the service packs.
The build number of my VS X4 is 14.1.0.107, if yours is larger than that then that means your VS x4 is already updated.
