MovieFactory 7 Pro never gives me a problem, neither in SD nor working with HD files.
I experienced however my first crash after loading a SD file which was edited in MSP8 and rendered as an avi file. Rendering the file as a mpg file did not change the behaviour of MovieFactory 7 Pro. I checked the file in G-Spot and found this remark:
File truncated in the "legacy index" area. • 496 bytes are missing DV Type 2 AVI Multipart OpenDML AVI (3 parts) (31155 frames in first part, 0 frames follow)
In preview everything seemed to be ok, the crash occured after start of the burning process.
Can’t think of anything causing this crash, perhaps anyone can explane this.
File truncated in the "legacy index" area

Re: File truncated in the "legacy index" area
Have you tried updating your direct X and installed the DVD Movie Factory updates?

Re: File truncated in the "legacy index" area
Thanks Abiel for your response.
DirectX as well as DMF 7Pro are up-to-date, DMF with SP1 only because I work on XP.
I've tried several solutions but a re-install of DMF 7 Pro was the only way to get rid of this strange problem.
I've seen such a remark never before that my file was "too short" and I still do not understand which bytes
were missing.
Best regards, Wim Kok
