I have a Sony HDR-SR5 HD AVCHD video camera. I recorded 5 files on the camera that I copied to the computer hard drive. I started a Blu-Ray project in DVDMF7, joined the files, added chapters and menus and attempted to burn to Blu-Ray. While in the Converting Titles process, the program crashed stating "Dvd Moviefactory has stopped working." I tried this two additional times, stopping as many computer background processes to free up resources and they each crashed. Lastly, I tried a DVD project and again the program crashed while in the Converting Titles process.
The 5 AVCHD video files I input into DVDMF7 all had the extension .MTS. They were maximum 2,000,000 kb and 17 minutes 26 seconds long.
I went into the DVDMF7 temp folder to see what had been created each time. When attempting the Blu-Ray burns, the 3 files found after the crashes were .mpg movie clips about 9,100,000 kb in size and went to 34 minutes and 52 seconds, exactly the length of 2 of the input files. When attempting the DVD burn, the file found after the crash was an .mpg movie clip about 1,500,000 kb in size and went to 34 minutes and 52 seconds, exactly the length of 2 of the input files.
I have a 500 GB hard drive that is less than half full. I am hoping that this issue is some sort of setting either in the DVDMF7 program or in the computer itself that will allow the converting process to go longer. It seems to be crashing at the same time in both the Blu-Ray and DVD conversion.
Thank you for any assistance.

Re: MovieFactory 7 Crashes While Converting Titles
I uninstalled all of DVDMF7 and reinstalled all components, including the two Service Packs. I took one of the original files and in DVDMF7 clipped the file to 2 minutes as a test. The file converted and I was able to burn to Blu-Ray. The picture was fine; however, the audio was not the audio from that portion of the clip I chose. In addition, the audio completely cut out halfway through the clip.
Thinking the clipping had something to do with the audio issue, I attempted the full file. It ran for over 10 hours, but did finish the conversion. When I went to check the output, there was no audio at all.
Is there something else that I am doing wrong? Are there any settings that could fix this?

For large files you may have to wait for mf to load the files on the first screen where you added the movie files. If you wait for a minute you'll see a small progress bar moving across. Wait for it to load completely. I had a few crashes util I started to wait for this load process to complete.
