4:3 OR 16:9 RATIO

Post by TT »

My 4:3 video I created is being cut off at the top and bottom when played on a new televsion set just purchased in the last 3 months. The owner of the television tried all the different aspects of display but the heads of people were still being cut off. When I play the same video on my computer and older televsion set the video plays fine and the top and bottom is not chooped off . Any suggestions for my problem ? thx,Tess

So what was the aspect ratio of the original video was that 4:3 - did you then process the video and create a 4:3 DVD - or did you create a 16:9 video by stretching or distorting your video in VideoStudio.

If your original video was 4:3 and you rigorously stuck with 4:3 all the way through to burning the DVD then I have never come across a TV that would not handle that in some form by putting black bars down each side or just stretching side to side producing thin people - but never one that chopped of heads.

So did you change aspect ratio anywhere through the process
