NTSC Menus

Post by spenlevy »

1 - I live in Australia and record, edit and burn in PAL. Will these discs play ok if I send them to relatives in the US?

2 - I have re-rendered one of my completed projects in NTSC format, and then burnt it onto a disc in NTSC format. It plays fine except that the menus are out of sync.

This means if I try to jump straight to chapter 1 in a 53 minute production, the disc starts playing about 1 minut early, and by chapter 15 about 12 minutes before the point I selected. Why is this happening?

When I test the project immediately before burning the menus work fine. Apart from this the project plays perfectly.

1) not likely (some models will convert Pal-to-NTSC, but not many)

2) did you create a new NTSC project from scratch, or did you just chane files and/or project settings? What are the NTSC properties you used for the conversion? (frame rate, resolution, etc...)
