Video Studio Pro X3 - project rendering problem
When I try and render my 23 minute project to WMV HD 720p it gets to 6% and says file reading error. Is there anyone who can help?

Can we assume you have the Windows Series 9 Media Encoder installed on your computer?

Yes, this will help VS X4 properly render or process videos that needs different decoders.

Re: Video Studio Pro X3 - project rendering problem
If you have tried rendering this project several times, does it always stop at the same point? If so, there must be something which, as the error message says, VS cannot read. Is you project made up of videos and anything else? What format is the video in? Right click on a clip in the timeline around the point in the video where the problem lies and copy ALL its Properties here please.

Re: Video Studio Pro X3 - project rendering problem
Yes, it stops exactly after rendering on 6% for about 1 minute. The project has video, music, text, and transitions. The video is in. MOV format. It will not let me copy the properties.

Re: Video Studio Pro X3 - project rendering problem
Do other .mov files play properly in VS? And which version of QuickTime do you have on your computer?
Ken Berry
Re: Video Studio Pro X3 - project rendering problem
I have tried to play through the MOV videos but they would crash the software. So i then downgraded to Quicktime 6.0 I had 6.69
Re: Video Studio Pro X3 - project rendering problem
Code it be a codec problem? Because I converted the .mov files to .wmv to see what happens and the same thing, it stops at 6%.
Re: Video Studio Pro X3 - project rendering problem
Ok, this is the error message I continue to recieve.
