Well as usual I have to learn the hard way...
I bought the upgrade to VS9, and was impatient so I bought the ESD(download) instead of the box, and the "back-up disc. However I had purchased the upgrade to VS8 a year or so ago, and ordered the "back-up disc". This disc had all the files I needed.
Well just like a lot of folks posting here, I had several problems getting a clean download using the "smart" download feature. I don't know how many times I re-installed VS9 just so I could re-download the extra content. I would get a couple of the extra content files installed and then bam, one would be corrupt, generally the Full Spectrum).
So finally I've managed to get it all installed (except Cool 3d, I have 3DPS), however am real skeptical that if I burn all the files to a CD, they may be corrupt when I need them in the future.
I sent an email to Element 5 and learned that just the main program file is all that is to be on the "back-up" CD. What a rip....
I also emailed Customer Service for Ulead, and I guess as expected no reply. Ulead needs to visit swishzone forum and learn what true customer and tech support is all about. These guys really care about there product and the customers.....
So the the whole point of this soap-box post is to advise potential buyers, be patient and buy the box.

Buy the Box
Add me to the list! I downloaded the trial, liked it and then went on line to purchase. I wanted the box, but never had the option during the order "upograde" process. Then I find that the $30 Rebate is not good for downloads, just for boxed versions, believe it or not. I am now in phone and email purgatory, trying to get a boxed version.joosuna wrote:add me to the list of people who messed up the downloaded upgrades. Now, I buy the CD box version of the new versions. I learn the hard way...from the school of hard knocks.
BOTTOM LINE: Buy the boxed version. Patience is a virtue.
