Corel Painter 6 Serial Number doesn't work

Hi all, I'm sure you've heard this a million times but...

I am trying to install an old version of Painter 6 on my computer. My computer crashed and I had to use recovery cd's to start from scratch. I want to install my old Painter 6 program and I do have the serial number written down but I'm getting an error message that the serial number is wrong. Tech support can't help me because they don't support older versions of the program. The registration information isn't in my account online at Corel. I read the FAQ on the Corel site and it suggested that sometimes zeros and the capital letter "O" look the same and I should try that. The problem is that there are four "O's" in the serial number and I don't know how many configurations that is to try. Thousands? I don't have the receipt for the program anymore...I can't prove it's mine anymore. It's old. It's not loaded on my machine anymore, so I can't select it and hit "?" for the serial number.

Maybe there's a way to retrieve the Serial Number from the information on the CD. Somewhere? Maybe?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

if there are four 0's or O's then there are 16 combinations to try. 0000 0001 0010 0011 0100 0101 0110 0111 1000 1001 1010 1011 1100 1101 1110 1111
