"Print all colors as black" in X5?

Post by Anders W »

Hi
I'm turning to you in hope of some help with my CorelDRAW X5.
Mainly I use Corel to draw photo etched constructions. A majority of people in this business use Corel because Corel is as made for the purpose. Until now that is.

For those of you who don't know the technique it about etching patterns in the surfaces of metal plates from both sides. Where the plate is etched from both sides I get holes or contours.
Anyway:
For this I need to draw the two plate sides in two layers. One side is red and the other is blue. (- or whatever color one prefers) Black on black does not work of course.
To transfer these drawings to the plate's photo resist I expose them with UV-light trough a set of films.

Making those films on witch black is as black as it can be has so far been very simple. However the for my purpose genius function "print all colors as black" is no longer an option in X5.
Is there another way to accomplish this or was upgrading from X3 to X5 just a waste of money?
How can I urge Corel to put this to etchers so very important function back in?

We don't really cover Corel Draw in these forums - although some members may use it - have you tried asking this question on the Corel Draw Forum at :-
