PSPX3 Dialog Box is locked in top-left corner .. cannot move

Post by BarryBB »

The dialog box for "Adjust/Highlight-midtone-shadow" has become "locked" at the very top-left corner of my monitor screen.

It's top "grab-bar" and "shadows-value-field" are outside the edges of my monitor.

I cannot "grab" it with my mouse cursor to relocate it. How can I move it into the visible area of my monitor?

When the dialog box is visible hit the "Alt" key and then hit the "down-arrow" on your keyboard. This should open up the default window context menu. Select "Move" from the list. Now use the arrow keys to move it around.

This should allow you to drag the dialog fully onto the screen once more.

I had something similar to this happen in PSPX2 with the Organizer on the bottom of my screen - when I "grabbed onto the resize area of the organizer and raised it up, it was "above" my Layers Palette and I couldn't see the Layers at all. Through some help in a forum, I finally figured out that going to "File, File Preferences, Reset Preferences (to factory default) was all I had to do to go back to the original settings. You have to reopen the Materials Palette, Layers Palette, and any favorites toolbars you normally like to have open but it got past the frustration. Hope this helps someone.

That worked for my stuck dialog box in X2... Thanks! :)
