Ok, so far that's 2 who report that the histogram adjustment layer is working correctly for them. I just reset all my settings and fired PSP X4 up, but I get the same problem with the histogram. Previously set high and low points are changed without any user input, which makes it work different from all the other adjustment layers. Strange! It's almost as if the before and after settings are toggled back in forth each time you open up the adjustment layer, but that's not entirely true as the numbers are entirely different each time until it "settles".Joelle wrote:I don't have a problem with the Histogram Adjustment Layer, it works fine here, when I double-click on the layer the settings are still there.
The same with the other Adjustment Layers.

Also tested on a second computer running Windows 7 64-bit and had the same problem with the histogram adjustment layer. So it doesn't seem dependent on the operating system (WIn7 64 and Vista 64 both tested here).
The settings only change when the low and high sliders are set, and the ok button is selected in the dialog to apply the changes. Eventually it does settle down to toggling between two settings.
Code: Select all
Low High
50 200 - I set these numbers, afterwards it's all automatic except for me hitting the Ok button
2 223
54 217
0 217
58 220
0 215
58 220
0 215
58 220
0 215
58 220
Code: Select all
Low Gamma High
0 .8 255
0 .8 255
20 .8 220 - I edit high and low points and the automatic changes happen after this, seems the larger the change here the larger the difference in numbers when they change
I.E. an initial setting of 50 on the low slider eventually toggles between 47 and 3 consistently
8 .8 234
16 .8 231
10 .8 232
15 .8 232 - the high number seems to have settled on this
11 .8 232
14 .8 232
11 .8 232
14 .8 232
11 .8 232
14 .8 232 - after this point the low number switched back and forth between 11 and 14
