Hello.
Has anybody noticed this?
When I first use the mouse to open a menu (Editor mode) it takes a while for redrawing the menu rectangle. Not a great deal because this only happens the first time I open a menu after launching the application. But it's annoying nonetheless. On the other hand, X3 seems to redraw menus just fine and fast.
Just curious.

Re: X4-SP1 Annoying delay redrawing menus
Yes I have noticed this. Even made note of it during the beta test of SP1.
The reason is simple though, when they created X4 they actually used a whole new base to the UI system. Originally, before SP1, the system could not even handle using different colors. When the beta team complained the development team started working to re-write huge amounts of code to allow them to create the different UI colors. This first re-draw is the result of the UI being re-written. So hopefully it'll be addressed in a later service pack. But hopefully not until the more serious bugs are addressed.

Yes, that does happen but if you've been using the same workspace, then loading or rendering of the menu speeds up. Great explanation Levi.
