A friend bought X4 from a retail shop..
She says she has installed the SP1 update
It hasn't worked any ideas...
this is what she has said...
I don't get that workspace at the bottom mine stops at Dual Monitor

What is her version number (small circle of dots with arrow in it up in top right of screen; then on the screen which appears choose the double cog icon top right and then About...)? My updated version is 14.1.0.5.

Ken her version is 14.0.0.332 after it says has updated???
so it isn't updating..
She bought the software from Noel Leeming's 2 weeks a go..
I have suggested she delete that update and download a fresh one..
it has me baffled.. I see in another thread someone with the same problem..

Yes, that's the original not updated version number. So yes, she should try it again or else uninstall X4 totally and reinstall, then try the update again, or else download another version of the update, as you suggest.

Ken she had the trial version then bought the cd.. she deleted the trial version first before installing the cd..
She should have kept that and used the activation and serial numbers..
am I right..
She has just told me when she goes to Help updates
it circles around and comes back with their are no updates at this time..
I have told her to remove it completely and start from scratch..

Filly if it makes you feel any better I had the same issue. Had the download trial version, bought the box version. When the box finally arrived it wouldn't take the service pack until I reinstalled.
