Is there a way to pause the video and pan around?

I'd like to freeze or pause the video and then pan/zoom around a bit before restarting the video. Is there a way to do this?

Stop the video at the required point and make a still image of that frame - cut the video at that point and insert the still image setting the duration to your requirement. Place the 'Video Pan and Zoom' filter over the still image and click on 'Customise Filter' to set the zooming and panning that you want to do .

please be aware that zooming in to much to a video or still from a video will cause deterioration of the viewed image

Thanks for the tip. Is there a tool or trick for going about making the still at the highest possible resolution? (My video is 1920x1080, so I'm hoping it looks good enough to do this a bit, but your warning is well-taken.)
