constant beeping while converting/burning

When ever I convert or burn a DVD I get a constant beeping noise.
Has anyone else expereinced this and what did you do about it?

It may be a warning from the BIOS indicating that the CPU or another system component is overheating. Most name-brand systems like Dell or Gateway don't have these features, but many systems built by small computer stores and based on enthusiast motherboards from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI etc. can do this.
