I recently reinstalled my comouter after updating hardware. I added a BluRay writer by LG and a Corsair Force GT SSD to use as my primary drive with a Barracuda HDD as my secondary drive.
The install went well and everything works fine and dandy with the exception of the VSX4 Corel Guide 'Do More' section.
When I try to download anything from the 'Do More' section, nothing will download.
The Corel Guide home page video works, the 'learn' section videos all work, I have no messages but there is no indication that the messages do not work as such and all links to 'external' sources are working.
So, when I see a template, title or tool that says it can be downloaded (free for example) and I have not got that item - download button has blue background with white 'download now' text - I click the button but nothing downloads.
Instead of the download, I get the 'DIM Dialogue' window with an empty white background and a gold downwards pointing arrow icon and that then gets replaced with 'DIM Dialogue' window with same empty background and what looks like an installation or 'unpacking' icon (box / computer / disc.
I have left the 'DIM Dialogue' open for up to 10 minutes many times with still no joy! Today I had to go shopping and so left the 'DIM Dialogue' open for over an hour - still no download.
Have any of you reading this got the same lack of access to downloads and or apparent 'DIM Dialogue' error?
Anyone know of a 'fix' for this issue?
I have been looking on the internet for an answer to this riddle for a while now and cannot find anything useful that helps.
My rig has not changed other than in the ways I described earlier and VSX4 worked fine with the rig before and still does - except I cannot download stuff from the 'Do More' section.
Any help would be great!

Re: No dowmloads through Corel Guide (VSX4)
When you say you "reinstalled my computer", did you mean you did a complete reinstall, wiping everything on it and starting from scratch? Or did you mean you simply reinstalled Windows over the existing installation, without having to reinstall any other installed program?
If it was the latter, had you already installed all the Corel Guide downloads before reinstalling Windows? If so, then they are probably still there in Libraries\Documents\Corel Video Studio Pro. See this image. The first files are, for instance, instant project files downloaded from the Corel Guide. And there are more further down the list.

You can also try resetting your software by deleting the "14.0" folder under "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro" folder.

Re: No dowmloads through Corel Guide (VSX4)
Though I added only a little hardware as indicated, both the new SSD and older Barracuda drives where clean formats - so I started from scratch as if it was a total new build!Ken Berry wrote:When you say you "reinstalled my computer", did you mean you did a complete reinstall, wiping everything on it and starting from scratch? Thank you for the quick reply and idea though.
I would have given more in depth info about my PC and the install(s) had I not been a bit rushed and can provide further info later if requested.

Re: No dowmloads through Corel Guide (VSX4)
Thank you for that idea! I gave it a shot and had no change in what happens!Abiel Corel NA wrote:You can also try resetting your software by deleting the "14.0" folder under "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro" folder.
Stil the same;
1, Sart up VSX4 (it is v: 14.2.0.23 BTW)
2, click 'Corel Guide' icon (orange and white - top right) to get into guide
3, Home tab movie works, lear tab videos work, messages seem ok but I have nonE!
4, From 'Do More' tab; templates tab, audio tab, titles tab and tools tab - any and all external links to websites work but the download links (blue with white text) do not work - re the issue at hand ...
4a, clicking on 'download now' buttons give same result; 'Dim Dialogue' golden down pointing arrow with empty (white background) window - this is replaced by 'DIM Dialugue' with the upload / install icon and same empty white window. Occassionally both 'Dim Dialogue windows remain open, usually though the first one closes.
My VSX4 Pro is registered and the buttons indicate that the downloads are available. The issue is, it seems, something to do with 'DIM Dialogue'.
All my other internet works as expected, I have all current drivers for hardware and VSX4 works great other than this issue.
Thanks again for the idea. Sadly it seems to have had little or no effect.
