Please help me figure this out (facebook in PSP x4)

Post by episodic »

Hi, I have paintshop pro ultimate x4

When I send a pic to flickr, it works as it should.

When I sent a pic to facebook, the permissions thing came up - I gave it permission. It switched to a white screen that said 'success'.
When I go to upload a pic - it says 'success' instantly, then when I close the screen this msg pops up:

You must complete the sign in process to upload your photos to a sharing site. Please return to the sharing options and enter the information requested by the sharing site.

I've looked everywhere - can't find 'sharing options' in any menu. Facebook is not requesting any data from me. Paintshop is now listed in the apps appproved for my account on facebook. I've tried deleting it from facebook and redoing it - the same thing happens, and no pics ever get sent.

Thanks for instructions on how to fix this.

I don't use FB so I can't test this for you but is it possible that you have to be signed in to FB first for this to work?

How does PSP figure into this? Don't you just upload the photos to Facebook from the folder where they're stored on your hard drive? That's how I've always done it.

Here are the steps on how to upload photos to flickr or facebook...

To upload photos to a sharing site
1. In the Organizer palette (available from any workspace), select the photos that you want to share.
If the Organizer palette is not displayed, click View Palettes Organizer, or press Shift + F9.
2. Click the Share button , and click one of the following:
• Facebook
• Flickr
3. Follow the instructions to upload the photos to your account.

I tried uploading a photo and I was able to upload it. When select the FACEBOOK option.. did you received this screen below or you immediately got the "SUCCESS" screen that you were mentioning above?

If you're not getting that screen, you may want to reset your web settings then set Internet Explorer as your default browser.

It started working for me after SP1 was installed. My screen looked nothing like that before, it was an empty white box that said success - but of course nothing was uploading. Works now.
