Considering the "Extended One Day Sale", when does it end?

Post by Pixel Ninja »

I am trialing PSP and also some other Corel products and I want to be sure I have enough time to make my decisions and get my purchases in.

The ad says "Ends November 30th", but that tells me everything and nothing at the same time. For one thing, I never know what somebody means when they say "Monday at midnight". Do they mean Monday morning or Monday evening? Computer people think of 00:00, or the beginning of the day as midnight, but others casually think of it as the end of the prior day.

So with regards to the sale, does it end at the beginning of November 30th, say at 00:00 or midnight?
Or does it end at the end of November 30th, say at 23:59, or one minute before midnight Dec. 1?

The difference is a whole day, partly during which I can trial more products.

And what time zone? I would be disappointed to miss the sale all because I am in the Eastern time zone and we were abiding by Atlantic or UK or something... :(

Thanks!

The Corel company i based in Ontario which is Eastern Time zone, so i would assume it is based on that. Also, considering that it is now NOv 30th and the special is still there, i would guess it is good at least until tonight.

It appears to have already ended. Prices just jumped. Glad I bought when I did.

Yes, the sale banner has indeed been taken down, and at this writing it's almost 3:30 pm ET.

This morning, I saw the banner was still up. So I went to make a purchase, but I don't remember my ordering account password (probably created around 2001) and I did not record it anywhere. So I planned to call Corel after work today, but now the sale prices have gone away.

I was planning to buy about $400 worth of various software and upgrades, including Corel Draw Premium Upgrade, the photo/video Ultimate bundle (not upgrade), and Painter 12 upgrade.

With the sales all gone, I now have zero sense of urgency about it all, and probably won't spend anywhere near my originally-planned figure.

I'll probably only buy the photo/video Ultimate bundle at this point, because I have work to do in both areas and because the ultimate bundle's price only went up $10 and the whole thing is under $100. The rest of it can wait; I'll probably be just fine with Painter 11, and I can continue to play with the CorelDraw X5 trial for a few more days.

I sure do wish the sale had gone on the rest of today, however. But I would be a whole lot poorer if it had. :)
