Download Failure

Post by Michael_HKG »

I had purchased VideoStudio Pro X4 Ultimate on last Saturday. Because of the download speed is very
slow, so I stop to download and restart the computer. When I download
the software again, the web page told me that:

Sorry,

Too many download attempts: 7. You were allowed to download only 5
times.

If you have any questions, please contact Digital River Customer
Service at CustomerServices@digitalriver.com.

After that, I also purchase the Extended Download Service (EDS), but I also can't download the software.
What can I do now?

Are there any Corel's staff help me. Thank you very much.

There are a couple of Corel people who visit here who may be able to help you - but as you have already been told your problem is with Digital River - they are the ones who have your money and have not supplied the goods - your first port of call should be customer services at Digital River.

Hi Michael

Also try accessing your account on the Corel Web site.
You should be able to see your purchase history and registered products.

I have never used the ESD, but would have thought the details would be in your Corel account

Did you receive details of the EDS and possibly activation codes?

Hi

You should have received an Order Confirmation e-mail from….corel-orders@corel.com
Containing all details of the purchase, download links, and activation codes.

At least I did………

I purchased Corel Paint Shop on the 14th October 2011 as a download
I did not buy the EDS package.

When I log on to my Corel account I can see the purchase history and view the activation codes, the download links suppressing are still active. Not for long I guess.
But was still able to download the program files again. Including Win Zip

I then save the downloaded files to a few locations on my PC, and save the activation codes, finally I burn a data disc as a final backup.

Check your e-mail junk folder

Have you viewed your Corel Account?

If you've received the activation code from digitalriver.com then you can download the actual program from Corel.com and use that activation code. This doesn't address the EDS failure though, if that doesn't get resolved maybe you should ask for your money back.

@Michael_HKG

You should be able to download the installer as many times as needed, specially you also have the Extended Download Service (EDS). It looks like that the download link that you have is located at digitalriver's server, so any restriction that they have is out of corel's control. Though, if you purchased the program directly from corel. You should have the download link available on your Corel.com login.

You may want to visit http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... d-My-Order, for ways on how to redownload your order.

If you do not have a download link on your corel.com account, then you can just download the trial and activate it using the serial number indicated in the order email. You can download the trial installer here.

If you are still having problems, send me the order number via Private message on this Forum, so that I can report the problem.

Hi Trevor Andrew

My Order Confirmation e-mail is from cs.corel@digitalriver.com.

When I click "download" again, they just told me that:

Sorry,

Too many download attempts: 12. You were allowed to download only 10
times.

If you have any questions, please contact Digital River Customer
Service at CustomerServices@digitalriver.com.

Anyway, now I go to my Corel Account, and ask this question.

If it works the same way that Paintshop Pro works, the core program is the same thing. When you activate it with the Ultimate license you're eventually prompted to download the bonus content from Corel.

Hi Michael

Good news.

Now copy the files along with the activation codes to a disc as a backup.

Good luck
