Re: CPPP X3 and explorer crash after sp5
Is it possible the the SP5 update caused the application to try to create thumbs from files in additional folders that were not in original defaults? I recently had a problem with PSP X4 crashing on startup which I attributed (possibly) to my manually changing the folder defaults for thumb creation.
This was a day or two after my initial installation of PSP X4 on an older Vista laptop computer. The crash seemed to be related to my experiments as a new user in the "Preferences" menu. I may have enabled the preference for thumbs for the files the user (My) Documents folder. I have since read that a "Reset" of Preferences may be possible by double clicking (right or left mouse button?) on the PSP shortcut icon on Desktop.
