I just learned something the difficult rather than the easy way. Perhaps this information is in the Help file or elsewhere, but when taking a snapshot one should take it from the original raw movie clip and not from the video on the timeline. For me, taking a snapshot off the edited video led to .bmps or .jpgs of 853 x 480 pixels as well as much more movement noise (e.g., a kid with four arms for a frame where he was swinging his arms up and down). All this from 1920 x 1080 raw video. Taking the same snapshot off the raw video (i.e., when viewing the raw clip not the edited video) gave 1920 x 1080 pics and much less movement noise. So I have learned something useful, and maybe this is useful for others too. If others know this to be available in the Help files or elsewhere, it might be useful to follow up with a note to that effect.
