multi-trim with audio

Post by surfer »

Because i still don't have audio when loading a video in the timeline and go to projectmode. The audio is also not in the output file. It is when playing original clip in library and when in timeline choose the clip but not in projectmode and outputfile.

Thats why i split audio and video in Virtualdub to wav (direct stream copy) and then load audio and video in VS4. Now i want to multi-trim the clip. But only the video is trimming the audio is not trimming with it so audio is off sync.
How can one multi trim a video with the audio who is seperatly loaded in the audio track?

Hi Surfer

Multi trim is only applied to one clip at a time, you cannot expect the program to trim the separate audio file.

You were asking questions regarding your video files here.

I was hoping that you would provide the Properties of the original file, we could then recommend the settings to use to convert the original to a more suitable editable format.

You seem however reluctant to give this information.

I have done that in a previous post. The original file is a ffdshow video decoder compression format with mpeg layer 3 audio.

Hi

Sorry for the confusion, I must have missed those details, did you also provide the frame size, cos I have read the post again and cannot find any reference to ffdshow, maybe I should go to “specsavers”

So for old times sake can you right click the original video file and select properties.
A window will open copy the details as an image to the post

I think the major reason for the confusion is that surfer seems to be creating a new topic with the same problem over and over - I just found one which goes back to May with the same problem - we never get a straight answer to a question because he starts another topic.

Search surfers postings Trevor and you'll see the problem.
