Can the menu & style be omitted?

Post by BillTav »

I have VS-X3. In version X2 there was a check box that let you skip he initial menu inmaking a disc. There seems to be no way of doing that in version X3. Also, the files include HD-simple menus. How can there be accessed when the only choiced given is Fun or Legacy?

Bill -- the burning module which came with X3 -- Burning Studio 2010 -- was a simply hopeless attempt by Corel to change the direction of disc authoring and burning in Video Studio completely. The burning module had a number of serious shortcomings, amongst which were an inability to turn of creation of a menu entirely. It was also slow and non-intuitive. This led to a user "rebellion" and Corel were forced to issue a special edition of Movie Factory 7 (with an SE after it) free for all registered users of X3. MF 7 SE used the same burning module as X2 and previous versions of VS.

Access to MF 7 SE came in the second update for X3, if I recall correctly. Doesn't sound as though you have updated your version of X3.

As a footnote, you should be aware that the current version of VS -- X4 -- contains the traditional burning mechanism, and has dropped the X3 model!
