Importing from Corel Paintshop Photo Pro X3

Post by Torrianthane »

Is there a way I can import files from Corel PaintShop Photo X3 for use in Motion Studio? For use as objects?

Thanks.

What format are you talking about importing?

If I have something in the native *.pspimage format, I just want to know if there is a file-type I can save as that will allow me, once in MotionStudio, to import.

As far as I can see, you can only open .AI, .WMF and .EMF graphics in MS3D...

Right, thanks. Do you know if PPPX3 can export to such a file, or save-as one of those file-types, in a manner whereby MS3D can import without error?

You can save an image as .wmf and .emf using PSP X3. Just click on SAVE AS... then on the SAVE AS TYPE, just select either .wmf or .emf

Thanks. Yes, I am aware of the save-as options, but what I am wondering is if MotionStudio will import properly. I got an error with mine when saved to those file-types in PSPX3, and imported in MS3D. Perhaps it is because it was a flattened image? If I save to those file types from a non-flattened PSP file, perhaps that will work. I will try it...

You can import .BMP and .JPG files into the Path Editor as background images or to convert them automatically to vector objects.

Yeah, I am trying to import a graphical logo that I did, that I do not want to try to recreate in MS3D, into the program so that I can apply an effect to it for a video (some of the effects that VideoStudio just doesn't have to the same level of detail and quality).
