This is one of the only major issues I've ever had with PSPX4. I've been using PSP products for over 10 years and already having several problems and complaints about X4. I'm guessing other people have other problems. Not complaining, just wanting a timely patch released....
When in Edit mode, with Tabbed View turned off, and multiple images open (not a lot, just more than one).. I edit one image and switch to another image, the Tabbed View turns back on. Totally annoying bug. At times, it's impossible to turn the Tabbed View off without closing out all the images.

I work in tabbed view all the time (it's just my preference) but I tried to duplicate the issue you're seeing.
I opened 3 images and turned off tabbed view. I was able to edit and move from one image to the next with no trouble. I could also use the scroll wheel to re-size the image window by zooming in and out with no trouble as well. The only thing that caused the tabbed view to come back on was double clicking on the image or selecting Window -> Tabbed View.
Did you double click the image and if not, this may be one of those issues that only effect some people and not others.

I work with as many as 6 files at once in tab mode and never have an issue. Finding space on the screen along with the various pallets is an issue tho!

Thanks for the quick responses... I've figured out the exact time this bug happens... tabbed documents off, several images open, AND using the crop tool. If the crop tool is selected, the first time you click on another image, Tabbed Documents kicks in. Plus, when Tabbed Documents is turned off again (after deselecting the crop tool), all the images are kicked up to viewing them at 250%. Major pain when trying to crop lots of related images at the same time. At least I know how to not make it happen... just never use the crop tool EVER. I was starting to think I was losing it when nobody else could duplicate the problem.

I think this is related to the other post, I'm not sure where it is now but it is also complaining about the window mode view of PSP X4 reverting back to tabbed view.

But of course knowing corel there never will be.

I tried to duplicate your problem - I was able to go from one image to another and to move the windows around without reverting to tabbed view. But, if i click on the maximize button in the upper right corner of an image window edit reverts to tabbed view. Is it possible that when you are trying to change images or move you inadvertently click on that? Unlikely if this happens with each selection but just a long shot.
