Mirror image
As a new user of PSP X4 I tried to mirror my image as I was used to do in PSP X3. Does anyone know where I can find this routine?

Hit the Ctrl key + M, or Image>Flip Horizontal.

Re: Mirror image
To be clear Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical replaced Mirror and Flip respectively. But these commands have not simply been renamed.
If you're flipping an entire layer and not just a small portion you won't notice anything wrong. However, if the layer you're working on is smaller than the overall image (canvas) size then you'll start noticing something interesting.
Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical are what are known as "local transforms" in other words they only work inside the active area you're working on. Grab the pick tool and select a layer, the bounding box you see is the "local" area of the layer. What these new commands do is they find the horizontal and vertical centers of the local area and flip around those. The original Mirror and Flip commands always flipped across the horizontal and vertical centers of the entire image.
Thankfully Corel has allowed us to get the old functionality back. You can either use a script recorded in previous versions or you can edit a script that you create in PSPX4. I show you how to edit the script in this video.
