Using VS8, have purchased VS9, should I install?

Hi,
Been a user for several years, VS7, then VS8. Bought VS9 upgrade(box) about a month ago...I've had the same problems as many of you and have downloaded patches etc and everything has for the most part worked...
I'm really excited about some of the improvements...
However, after reading some of the problems here, I'm afraid to install...
Ordinarily I would install and deal with the problems...but
I have a family project video for a party due next month and don't have time to spend a lot of time posting and emailing for HELP!

Any comments?
advice?
Success stories...?
Horror stories...?

Hi,
I've also been a user for several years, VS7, then VS8 and I installed VS9.
I'm happy so far, but I'm only working with my own videos from my Camcorder. Basically it works fine, except some bugs.
For example this ripple editing somtimes seems to be bugy and it happens that a music clip disapears.

Hi,
I read your post and I have had the same trouble, I have a wedding that I need to work on with VS9 and I have had alot of trouble getting it to load all the files. My best advise is to wait for LIVE technical help, or you will be spinning your wheels wasting time as I have all weekend, the way i installed mine, may not work for you...
