Unable to install PSP X4
I have tried several times to install PaintShop Pro X4 firstly from the download and now from the CD. Every time I end up with a message saying that I already have a copy of the program installed (Screen print below).
PSP X4 does not appear in my Add/Remove programs list (I am running Windows XP with all service packs). I have also removed all referencs to the program from the regisdtry and rebooted the machine. I have 2GB RAM and pleanty of hard disk space. What's the secret? —Jim

Did you try actually searching the hard disk for existing Corel folders? If found you should backup them and delete them. Also checking registry for old Corel keys could be a good idea.

Re: Unable to install PSP X4
Have you tried to try a repair or modify with the CD..
Plenty of hard drive is fine but 2GBS of ram is just enough..
Both X3 and X4 are memory hoggers..
Cheers

Re: Unable to install PSP X4
I have completely removed any trace of PSP X4 that I could find and also deleted all references to X4 in the registry. I do have other Corel products installed so don't feel inclined to delete these. If that should be necessary, then I judge PSP X4 an absolute failure. I had no problem installing and running the beta on the same machine, but the final release has proven impossible so far.
I don't know how to repair from the install disk. I am presented with no such option and can find no utility on the disk.
