(editing) video

Post by badduck »

HI

I was trying to edit my taped video, meaning i was cutting the first seconds of using 'trimmen' (i got the dutch version, but maybe you know what i mean..). But after editing it and wanting to save it, it failed. There was a message that encoding failed. The video is in MPG (MPEG-1) format by the way.

I wanted to check te message just now, but both movies i tried to edit give only black screen now?!?! Argh..is there someone who can help me please? The only thing i want to do is cut the first seconds off...

More info about the video: is't just about 50 seconds long, taped with an benq digital camera(photo) and has no sound. I can watch the video still using realplayer, so it isn't completely gone..

Please help me!! Thank you very very much

Love Linda

If your video clip simple mpeg1 file, then you should have no problem trimming the video clip. However, if it uses a special codec in rendering the video clip, then Photo Explorer might not have the capability to render it. You might want to try using a video editing software like VideoStudio. You can download the trial version at the Ulead website.
