No Audio making Bluray File VS11.5 plus
I made my first Bluray video onto a Disk....looks great (with audio ). But now, when I try do more editing , make another disk, or save to a file in my PC., I have no audio. If I save it as a dvd, the sound is fine. I've reinstalled the software, still the same. Have I turned the audio off somehow when I try to make the file in Bluray format ? Any sugestions would be appreciated.

You could always 'burn' a Blu-Ray folder instead of a disc -- no wastage that way. And it can be played back in a software player which can play Blu-Ray. That way you can check whether there are any other problems. But if you are doing your editing and jumping straight to Share > Create Disc, then instead of that could you first try creating a new Blu-Ray-compatible .m2ts file (Share > Create Video File > Blu-Ray), and then insert that in the burning module to produce first a folder to see if the audio is there; and if it is, you can then burn a disc. Or if the problem persists, you could use that new file in another program, like Nero 9, 10 or 11 to burn the actual Blu-Ray disc.

Re: No Audio making Bluray File VS11.5 plus
I think I may have misled you somewhat. I'm trying to edit another video, not related to the first one. When I try to save the new edited items as a bluray file , there is no audio. This way I can see the edited file before burning it into a Bluray disc ( as the discs are pretty pricey). If I burn it to a disc, there is also no audio.

Hi
Can you give details of the video files you are using.?
From the timeline , right click a video clip and select properties, What are they
Do this for all types of video used.
----------------------
I assume during editing when playing the project “Project Playback” and “Clip Playback” the audio is ok.
----------------------
From the edit timelines…
Is this option available Share Create Video File, Same as First Video Clip.
If Yes …. Rendering using this option, does the new video clip play ok?

Re: No Audio making Bluray File VS11.5 plus
Hi Trevor;
To trouble shoot this problem, I'm using a 10 second clip. The file has an extension of " .mov", taken directly from my Cannon T2i camera. The sound is ok while I'm editing. I can Share as Video file, and choose "use same as project settings". This file has audio but the picture is similar to Standard definition. If I choose Bluray, after it's finished rendering , there's no sound when it plays the video, nor when I play the the saved file. Now the good news, sort-of, I can save the file as HD DVD, the picture is in HD, WITH SOUND. That's all I need. I'll just keep saving the file as HD DVD.
I did some experimenting, if I import the saved file that I saved as Bluray that has no sound in my computer, it suddenly has sound when I import it into Videostudio. Strange! If I choose anything but Bluray, the saved file has audio when I play it in my computer, but when I choose the Bluray format, I have no sound.
Thanks for your assistance. Now I can keep editing. Would it be worthwhile getting the newer VS software? Corel has a special on it for $50 .
Regards,

Hi Albert
Right click a video clip and select properties What are they?
I assume they will be widescreen using 16:9 ratio.
If yes.
With your comment regarding standard Definition I think your project properties are set for 4:3
Edit your project properties to use Display of 16:9.
-----------------------------------------------
The different templates used may use a different audio, Bluray will use Digital Dolby with HD DVD using Mpeg Audio, unfortunately I do not have VS 11 to check these default properties, but this may indicate a problem with Digital Dolby
Even so it should not be a problem, as you should have the correct codecs installed with the program.
Not sure if VS11 is fully compatible with Windows 7----------Have you installed all Updates and Patches associated with VS11
-----------------------------------------------
Smart Render
When you Share Create Video File, from the save Video Window choose Options and deselect Smart Render.
