Hi all,
I didn't realized that as I'm importing images, the 'background' was defaulting to white. I'm working a couple images right now, in which the transparent setting is really needed. I found where to change the default, but not how to change it for existing images in PS already. Help?!?!
thx!
Turn background of existing image from white to transparent?

Re: Turn background of existing image from white to transpar
In addition to that question though, can I take a selection pulled from the magic want, and then somehow fill another image background with that? 2 examples here, they should have some background hues, but don't...I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to correct this on a number of shots, with much more differences, more apparentthan these. I haven't run into troubles like these before, and have only needed the very basic tools. These were all user errors!
I know I could select and make a new background out of the old, etc.., but some have10-15 people in them, where selecting would be hard, and in those cases want to use the eraser tool, but need the transparent grid I mentioned abour.
OR, who has best, easiest way?
thx!!

To create a transparent background, you can use the background erase to remove the background... here's a quick tutorial on the background eraser http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... id=1200137
Once you have erased the background, you can then save the image as .png to keep the transparency of the background, since jpeg does not support transparent background.
Hope that helps.
